I believe it is my love of books which has led me to creative writing. I love books which are honest and moving, and which introduce you to characters so real that you almost weep when you have to say goodbye to them when the novel is over. Most recently I read the beautiful Alice and the Fly by James Rice, and the subtle humour and the protagonist’s unique way of looking at the world has stayed with me since. I hope to write novels of my own in the future, one of my greatest ambitions being to one day (if I am very lucky) see my stories and characters come alive on film. My love of theatre has led me to explore scriptwriting, and I have discovered the importance of realistic, truthful dialogue. I hope that my work comes across as honest, enchanting and that it sticks in the mind of the reader and refuses to be forgotten.
