I’m Michaela. For me, the aspiration to become a writer began when I first started reading. When I was younger I read anything that I could get my hands on, and if I didn’t understand a word or a sentence, the first person I complained to was my father, demanding he explain it to me as simply as he could. I think that is why, as I’ve grown up, I have developed a greater appreciation of non-fiction work – I like to be able to express my excitement over a subject in an emotive but concise manner, allowing the reader to indulge in the most amount of information as possible. The complexity and power that can flow from a combination of words is fascinating, and I would like to be a part of that.
